The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority altered its service on over 90 percent of its bus routes Jan. 14.

The changes affected 13 existing VTA routes that run directly to SJSU and include two new express routes and one new community bus route that stops at SJSU. (0) comments

The chain-link fence blocking the area west of the Student Union will be the home of a monument honoring Cesar Chavez and the United Farm Workers labor movement.

Most of the construction, including the surrounding concrete footwork, has already been completed, but the area will remain fenced-off for another two to three months, said Tony Valenzuela, associate vice president of Facilities Development and Operations at SJSU. (0) comments

Scott Clarkson said he was shocked at his friends' responses when he mentioned visiting Vietnam and all they knew about the country was the war.

"We have to re-evaluate our thinking of Vietnam," Clarkson said. "The country has a 98 percent literacy rate and is the second largest coffee exporter in the world. (0) comments
