Program fights for survival

Although the fencing masters program is the only one in the entire nation and is internationally recognized, its existence is not commonly known among SJSU students. Thousands gathered at Discovery Meadow between West San Carlos Street and Woz Way in downtown San Jose Sunday for the Fiestas Patrias, a celebration of Mexico's independence from Spain.
