I've been in school for seven years: one year at an out-of-state school, a year-and-a-half at a city college, three years at UC Santa Barbara and two years at SJSU. I guess I just like to collect degrees. Actually, I have no idea where my bachelor's degree is. (1) comment

Nothing like an overseas trip <br> to learn a life lesson

Our flight from Stockholm, Sweden landed in Helsinki, Finland in the early afternoon. The flight was short, only 50 minutes, but turbulence rocked our small plane until we were able to cruise above the clouds. But that did not last long. As a fan of Barack Obama, I'm pleased that he also feels that Obama would be our best choice for president. (0) comments

I loved the juxtaposition on today's front page: "First-time freshmen flood campus" and "Student Culture: Drink of the week." The average age of freshmen on our campus is 18; it wouldn't surprise me if the majority of students on our campus were also below the legal drinking age. (1) comment
