Library late fees give students an opportunity to pay more to the university for their educations.

Becka Ann Paulsen, associate vice president of finance at SJSU, said that in the current fiscal year - from July 1 until now - students have accumulated $47,000 in library late fees.

She said her office anticipates $65,000 by the end of this fiscal year in June. (0) comments

In the wake of SJSU President Don Kassing's decision to suspend all on-campus blood drives, media outlets from around the United States are taking notice to the issue.

Computer science goes Swiss for the summer

SJSU computer science professors Jon Pearce and Sam Khuri jumped at the opportunity to take a group of students to Switzerland for free last July when they participated in the Swiss Summer University program.

Thirty computer science, computer engineering and software engineering students from the U.S. were chosen to participate in a three-week session of labs and lectures alongside 30 students from Yverdon Les-Baines campus in Western Switzerland. (0) comments
