The current smoking policy at SJSU says that "smoking is prohibited within 15 feet of doorways" and that "violation of this prohibition is a misdemeanor," according to both education and government codes. San Jose State Donate Life will continue hosting its first campaign today near the Student Union bookstore and amphitheater. Michele Mashburn, a sociology graduate student said she wanted to sign up to be an official donor because her uncle was able to live two years longer after he received a heart transplant. But this preventative method comes at a cost. Although students pay a medical fee as part of their tuition, not all services offered are covered in this cost, and HPV prevention is one of them.
