'Stick It' provides a good time if you stick with it

"Stick It," the newest movie from "Bring It On" writer Jessica Bendinger, is not as bad as the commercials make it out to be, and not as tedious to watch as "Bring It On." After one too many run-ins with the law, 17-year-old Haley Graham (Missy Peregrym) is sentenced to face her past and put on a leotard. (0) comments

Though the story took more than six years to be picked up by a movie studio, "Akeelah & the Bee" was well worth the wait. Based on a true story, the movie is about Akeelah Anderson, a little girl raised in South Los Angeles, who makes it to the Scripps National Spelling Bee. (0) comments

The television, radio, film and theatre department's music video class finished its 13th film production since Babak Sarrafan started directing at San Jose State University in 1998. "Long Road," a music video by Nuthouze, was put on by the RTVF 185 class, which gave students hands-on experience of building a set from scratch, and then filming an actual production with local artists.
