City senior center closures could impact nursing program

Abstract:
Senior citizens soon may not be able to strengthen their flexibility with yoga, improve their coordination with a waltz or, most of all, receive balanced nutrition and health assistance.

The city of San Jose has announced the possible closure of four downtown senior centers, including, Northside Community Center, Alma community Center, Hank Lopez Community Center, and Saint James Community Center - which provide these services to older residents....

Allie, this is a very timely article now with the budgets
cuts going on with the State. On campus, most students are very young and beginning their careers. No way would any of you believe that you might end up in a senior center. These people are elderly and reached the end of their life's journey. Every decent and resourceful consideration should be made to accomodate these lovely citizens.

I remember a Symantec HP manager asked if I can leave school for 2 months, then return. Didnt matter the person was going to terminate me anyway after the 2 months. So loud they called SJSU and confirmed I was a student, so loud Kellum, Banks complained.
At another job work hours increased every holiday season, your working nights or weekends. And somewhere in between going to SJSU. Did you notice anyone below 20 hours of work does not get healthbenefits? About 80% are married women or senior citizens, love those shareholder meetings they are under 50.

Give you all a hint, I found this out at El Camino Hospital. Years ago I found it again, after being hospitalized the second time from bay area living stress.
The hospital has a job bulletin board in the hallway. They have another inside the office stored in a binder.
They cannot advertise positions because of newspaper costs, plus no room to describe the position exactly. The paradox where does the job hunter read the newspaper is it all up in City of Berkeley or San Francisco? Or try the no-experience route of college job fair?

There's a reason why people dont get jobs until after high school. They ( county child welfare rights services) know its one more thing to do, means you cant do homework or get rested. Dont listen to the 'sucessfull crowd' that did it all but never did. Dont listen to the honor roll advisor willing to give you 'advanced and HARDER work beyond honor class'. Dont listen to the aunt or uncle that 'just want to see' as a medical experiment to make super children. you heard of children with divorced parents that are on doctor prescription mind drugs before age 18?
Your at 100% stretched someone wants another 100%, the other same is not even going at 10%.
Monkey Monkey off your back. that George Micheal song.
