Caution: 'Cloverfield' may cause dizziness, boredom

Abstract:
Special effects and cinematographic gimmicks have officially ruined movies.

Case in point: "Cloverfield."

Think "The Blair Witch Project" meets "War of the Worlds" - minus any morsels of substance those two movies provide.

"Cloverfield," which couldn't hold a candle to either of those lackluster blockbusters, sucked....

I agree. That movie sucked so bad. That monster reminded Marshmellow man if his bandages were taken off if he was mummified. The movie was as horrible as SJSU football team during conference play.

typical trite. i am, of course, referring to your review. my favorite part is "Think "The Blair Witch Project" meets "War of the Worlds" - minus any morsels of substance those two movies provide."

are you really that dim? did you not get the 9/11 allegory? what substance do those films offer? personally i think all three films are crap, but that cloverfield, in all of it's heralded myspace/youtube immediacy, offers the most societal relevance and allegorical substance.
