Maricela Contreras, the uncontested candidate for director of internal affairs, states in her candidate statement that she plans to work for students.
"I will advocate for the rights of students and the legitimacy of proposed policies," she said in her statement.
Her previous experience includes working as an intern for the California State Assembly, taking courses in budget process, bill tracking, constituent casework, and the legislative process at the Robert Hertzberg Capital Institute.
Contreras is also a part of the Democratic Caucus on campus.
