Currently the vice president of standards for the Kappa Delta sorority, Melisa Cerda is seeking the position of director of student fee affairs.
Her other experience includes work with Tuition Relief Now, an advocacy group organizing a campaign against the tuition increases in public higher education and work as a member of the Democratic Caucus on campus.
She plans, if elected, to advocate expanding the financial resources available to students and for more assistance.
